Magnesium alloy in lithium aluminium alloy lz91

The Magnesium alloy in LZ91 Lithium Aluminum alloy is the lightest metal structure material. Its density is generally 1.35-1.65 g / cm3, it has a high specific strength and specific rigidity and excellent damping performance and resistance to penetration of high energy particles.

Lithium magnesium alloys (MgLi) are among the lightest structural materials in addition to representing a range of advanced aluminum alloys. Their main advantage over standard aluminum alloys is a lower density combined with an improved elastic modulus. Also the resistance to fatigue failure is generally superior to the standard 2000 and 7000 series aluminum alloys. The new aluminum lithium alloys have improved corrosion resistance and greater strength than their predecessors.
